West Frankfort is a special place. A small rural town in Southern Illinois, which has inherited a life, rich with traditions. Lives built around the coal mining industry. These lives have formed our town into a “melting pot” of nationalities and opportunities.
Within an hour’s drive of the Southern Illinois Wine Trail and the Shawnee National Forest, we are nestled in a valley of colorful scenery and getaway locations.
Located on the intersection of I-57 and State Highway 149, we are a brief drive from three major cities. We have a lot to offer including the museum, shopping, and opportunities of your choice, while allowing a home life and neighborhood where you can return and enjoy the “Simple Life.”
Within a few minutes drive of Rend Lake, one of the largest man-made lakes in the area. Beaches, camping, fishing, are just a few of the wonderful things one can find to do there.
We are very proud of our community and know that you would be, too.
